TJ came highly recommended by neighbors when we hired him to rebuild our deck and lake stairs. (Both were DIY projects by the previous homeowners that were in serious need of replacement after 30 years). TJ came over for an estimate and talked us through both projects, pointing out that the deck was in worse condition and that was the one to tackle first. He went over our design with us and pointed out where we could save some money by doing a different railing design on the sides. He stuck with the project throughout the long permitting and DEP approval process. Once all the permits were in, he and his crew made sure the project went smoothly and he even stayed late on a Friday to finish the railings so the deck would be ready to use for our young nieces and nephews who were coming the next day. He did a great job on our lake stairs too, and was able to use ground anchors that didn't require pouring concrete, minimizing impact to the landscape. The stairs are in an awkward place on the hill making it really hard to access but once again he and his crew made it happen.
TJ takes real pride in his work, both from a structural and aesthetic point of view. All those mitered cuts and picture-frame style decking really pays off and the finished product looks amazing. TJ will be my first call the next time we need work done.
